Where has this movie been all my life?
Last Saturday Edward and I took a trip to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Visiting a cemetery usually does not involve having fun, but there is a first time for everything. During the summer, the cemetery shows classic movies and attendees are welcome to bring along a picnic dinner. Don't worry, it's not all spooky. We sat in a wide open grassy area of the cemetery, a respectful distance to those who were resting in peace.
Once we found our little spot in the grass, we laid out our blanket and popped open our picnic basket. Edward and I brought caprese sandwiches and cannolis from our favorite Italian deli. Yum-o!! Before the movie started, a DJ spun fun 80s alternative music to set the mood.

So the movie that night was Singing in the Rain. I am so embarrassed to admit that I have never seen this movie. (I know, it's crazy.) I am an avid I Love Lucy lover and love all things old Hollywood. How could I let this little gem get past me!?!?

Singing in the Rain stars the dreamy Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor and Debbie Reynolds. It is often dubbed one of the greatest musicals of all time. I just may have to agree.
I just love how in old movies everything is just sweet and to the point. It's never too overdone.
